Pentecost Prayer Room

The Churches Together in Horndean and Clanfield organise an annual 24/7 prayer room in the week leading up to Pentecost, the day Christians celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to Jesus' disciples.
Whilst we can pray to God at any time, there are times that we choose to especially commit ourselves to prayer. This week in the build up to Penetcost is the main one for us as Churches Together. We chose Pentecost because we want to see the Holy Spirit work in our community and within us, just like Jesus' disciples saw on the original day of Pentecost. If you would like to see the Holy Spirit move too, please do sign up for a slot.
A 24/7 prayer room is a space and/or resources that are available during this committed time of prayer. The space and the resources have lots of prompts and ideas within them to help you pray. As each time slot in a prayer room is an hour long, these resources help us as an hour can feel like a long time to fill with prayer. Prayer isn't just sitting silently. It can be singing, dancing, reading, creating, writing and so much more. A 24/7 prayer room is transformed over its set period of use so that it is full of prayers and art as people respond to how they are being moved by God.
If you would like to join us, sign up for a slot (each slot is an hour long), please pick your slot on this calendar.
