Living Lightly 

At Horndean Baptist Church, Living Lightly means seeking to live thoughtfully, care for God's creation and recognise the limits of our time, energy and resources.

We believe that following Jesus doesn't mean trying to do everything. Instead, we want to listen to God, prayerfully discern what he is calling us to do, and focus on doing those things well.

This also means making space for rest. We want to avoid burning ourselves out through too many commitments and remember that following Jesus happens throughout the whole of life, not just when we are at church.

We seek to share God's love through our everyday words and actions, in our work, our relationships and our leisure time, while being mindful of the resources we use and the world we have been given to care for.
