What is Christianity?

Christianity is about knowing God through Jesus Christ and discovering the hope, forgiveness and new life he offers.

Christians believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, who came into the world as the God-man to show us what God is like and to make a way for us to be brought back into relationship with him. Through Jesus' life and teaching, his death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead, he offers forgiveness and the promise of new life.

Following Jesus isn't simply about believing certain things. It's about learning to love God and other people, discovering what the Bible teaches, and allowing our faith to shape how we live.

At Horndean Baptist Church, our faith in Jesus is at the heart of everything we do, from our Sunday services to our friendships and our work in the local community.
