Who Are We?

 For many people church can often conjure up thoughts of cold buildings, boredom, and one person doing everything while the congregation spectates.

But, God's church  is not a building.  It is a body of people who are His family.  As part of this family we encourage everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, able-bodied or disabled,  to take an active role in the life of the church, so that they know that they belong and have something to offer.

Horndean Baptist Church is a church within the Southern Counties Baptist Association (SCBA) and a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB).  We also join with other churches in our area under the title of Churches Together in Horndean.

What Do We Believe?

We believe that God of the Bible, who created all things, cares for this world, for you and for your family.

We believe that God revealed himself to this world in Jesus and that Jesus is alive today.

We also believe that God's purpose is to draw us into a relationship with himself, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, and through His Holy Spirit who is given to all who turn to Him.
